Yell County is split by the Arkansas River. That is why the Sheriff's Office keeps two offices, one in Danville and one in Dardanelle. The river split makes travel across the county slow, so having two offices helps the Sheriff's staff keep patrol times low. The main jail sits in Danville, and all county arrests end up at that same jail.

Dardanelle Police, Danville Police, and the Sheriff's Office all feed arrests into the jail. The Arkansas State Police and other state agencies can also send a person to the Yell County Jail Roster. Most bookings tie to routine patrol, traffic, and drug cases. Tips on open warrants can be sent to the Sheriff's Office by phone or by mail at the Danville or Dardanelle address.
