Baxter County Jail and Detention Center
The Baxter County Jail and Detention Center has been in use since 1884. That makes it one of the older jails in the state. Over the years the facility has been built out and kept up to meet state rules. The jail has 151 beds. It holds both men and women. Most people are pre-trial. Some serve county jail time of up to one year.
